Job Summary
Chef for private household tasked with delivering refined, high-quality dining experiences and supporting Head Chef and principals in daily household operations. Responsibilities include healthy, whole-food meal preparation, menu planning, coordinating private dinners and large events, stocking and rotating products in multiple properties, assisting the principal with day-to-day tasks, serving at formal and informal tables, and ensuring dishware care and discretion. Candidates should have 5-10 years of chef experience, preferably in private household or luxury hospitality, with advanced knowledge of fine dining and international cuisines, strong teamwork, superb organization, adaptability for events and last-minute requests, and willingness to travel or work seasonally. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience as a chef, including private household or luxury hospitality roles
- Experience coordinating private dinners, formal entertainment, and special events preferred
- Advanced knowledge of fine dining, international cuisines, and luxury service standards such as care for luxury dishware
- Ability to adapt menus for events and last-minute requests
- Strong understanding of private household expectations and etiquette
- Must have the ability to work with a team and be a team player
- Absolute discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Ability to anticipate needs and deliver seamless, unobstructive service
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with scheduling and household management
- Ability to travel on occasion if needed, and/or willingness to work in a seasonal capacity
