Job Summary
Oversee the Cheese department within the Deli by providing excellent customer service, preparing, packaging, and merchandising cheese products, and fulfilling designated ordering responsibilities. Train and mentor Cheese Back Up and other staff on cheese varieties, specialty foods, and deli prepared foods while demonstrating knowledge of wrapping and handling procedures. Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met by following safe food handling and merchandising protocols. Provide deli counter service when needed. Work a variety of shifts including weekends with a starting wage of $31.15/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
- Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
- At least 3+ years working with cheese
- Familiarity with cheese varieties
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly

- Familiarity with specialty and prepared foods
- Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
