Job Summary
Plan and lead engaging, safe, and well-organized daily practices, teaching cheerleading skills including motions, jumps, dance, chants, and stunts. Develop practice plans that promote skill progression, teamwork, and physical fitness while fostering a culture of integrity and mutual respect. Prepare the squad for athletic events, pep rallies, and school performances, ensuring adherence to recognized cheer safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with students, families, and administrators to support academic success and personal growth. Serve as a positive role model reflecting the school's Quaker commitment to equality and community.
Required Qualifications
- Experience planning and leading daily practices
- Knowledge of cheerleading skills including motions, jumps, dance, chants, stunts, and conditioning
- Ability to develop practice plans promoting skill progression, teamwork, confidence, and physical fitness
- Knowledge of recognized cheer safety guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, athletic staff, and school administrators
- Ability to support the academic success and personal growth of student-athletes
- Ability to serve as a positive role model
