Job Summary
Configure software across multiple operating systems to ensure compatibility with hardware and maintain security tools including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems. Write detailed reports on configuration errors, testing findings, and new system vulnerabilities. Manage vendor and third-party relationships while adhering to ITIL processes within a medium to large ICT organization. Requires Security+, Checkpoint, ZScaler, and Squid proxy certifications, plus solid experience in engineering and managed services.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced diploma, degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
- Certified in the following technologies: Security +
- Certifications in the following key vendors: Checkpoint (CCSA, CCSE)
- Certifications in the following key vendors: ZScaler
- Certifications in the following key vendors: Squid proxy
- Certifications in the following key vendors: BlueCoat
- Certifications in the following key vendors: Arbor DDOS
- Solid years of work experience
- Solid experience required in Engineering function within a medium to large ICT organisation
- Solid experience of Managed Services
- Excellent working knowledge of ITIL processes
- Excellent experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties
Desired Qualifications
- Up to date and relevant ITIL certification (Advantageous)
- Industry certifications (CISM, CISSP etc.) (Advantageous)
- Palo Alto technologies (Advantageous)
- Fortinet technology certifications (Advantageous)
