Checker

Checker position at Hy-Vee: deliver fast, friendly customer service as a cashier, operate the cash register, handle payments (cash, credit), redeem coupons, WIC, and rain checks, and provide product assistance. Responsibilities include bagging or packing groceries, helping with drive-up or carry-out, stocking and rotating merchandise, answering questions, guiding customers to items, and ensuring store policies on sales of restricted items are followed. Must be capable of learning item lookup numbers, department numbers, and shelf locations, maintaining a clean and organized register area, and contributing to a safe, efficient shopping experience in a fast-paced environment.
