Checker at Hy-Vee in Trenton, MO. Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product locations. Operates a cash register including scanning items, redeeming coupons, processing cash/credit transactions, and issuing receipts. Packs groceries, assists with drive-up or carry-out as needed, stocks and faces merchandise, and maintains store cleanliness. Follows local, state, and company policies on the sale of tobacco, liquor, and compliance with WIC/food-stamp guidelines. Must be able to perform arithmetic for cash handling, and work a night and weekend schedule in a fast-paced retail environment.
