Job Summary
Review technical specifications and connection design drawings to identify discrepancies, missing information, and design conflicts, raising RFIs as needed. Interpret contract documents to classify fireproof members, architectural exposed structural steel, and galvanized components while validating material grades, bolt specifications, and weld requirements against IFC standards. Perform detailed checks of 3D Tekla models against design documents, ensuring accurate incorporation of comments, resolving erection feasibility and transportation constraints, and conducting clash checks before releasing models for production. Verify accuracy in single-part drawings, shop drawings, GA drawings, and NC files, and clarify modeler queries to maintain alignment with Transmittal Index updates.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 Years' experience
- Sound knowledge in AISC specifications like, ASD, RCSC & NISD
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures
- Capability of checking models and drawings
- Knowledge in concrete structures, like slab level/depth, expansion joint, reinforcement, composite steel etc
- Accurate Interpretation of contract design documents & connection design
- Ability to Clarify and answer modeler/detailer queries
- Ability to Perform model checks at each stage of the company workflow procedure
- Understanding of scope of work before project work begins
