Job Summary
Load, unload, store, inventory, and transport finished goods and supplies using forklift, slip fork, or pallet jack. Check accuracy of item type, quantity, and quality against shipping or receiving documents. Follow HACCP and food safety policies while observing plant safety protocols and reporting unauthorized persons. Lift heavy weights up to 100 lbs, read shipping orders, and perform arithmetic calculations. Obtain a Riceland forklift license and attend required training. Work Monday through Friday with possible weekend hours and extended daily shifts, earning a 15% premium for evening and weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift heavy weights (up to 100lbs)
- Must be able to read shipping orders
- Must be able to print legibly
- Must be able to perform arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply and divide 3-digit numbers)
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Riceland forklift license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- High School Diploma or GED
