Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, operate the cash register accurately for all payment types, and count back change while ensuring compliance with local and federal guidelines. Scan products, process transactions including food stamps and WIC checks, bag merchandise, and assist with drive-up and carry-out services. Stock shelves, rotate items, clean the register area, and verify register balances at shift start and end. Communicate clearly on the intercom, answer customer questions, and support store safety and security. Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and store policies. Report to work when scheduled and on time. Night and weekend shifts required.
Required Qualifications
- Night & Weekend Shifts Required
- ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
- Follow detailed written or verbal instructions and work through tasks with a few concrete variables
- Perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a great customer experience
- Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
