Job Summary
Greet and direct patients, clients, and visitors at the Corporate Health Center while answering routine service inquiries and managing calendars for examinations and appointments. Route incoming and outgoing mail, process patient registrations by verifying data and collecting insurance information, and accept payments to provide receipts. Maintain accurate patient files, department activity reports, and billing documentation, while checking supply inventory and ordering materials. Assist with gathering vital signs and performing phlebotomy when trained, and coordinate employee physicals for FRMC records. This role requires a high school diploma, two to three years of experience, and clinical skills including phlebotomy. Full-time employment with benefits including tuition reimbursement and comprehensive medical coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent, with courses in office management
- Two to three years' experience
- Demonstrated clerical skills including filing, record keeping, and billing procedures
- Office practice and procedures
- Valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license
- Insurable under Firelands' auto policy
- Proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage
- Ability to read and write small letters and numbers
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to effectively communicate and understand in both written and oral form
- Ability to handle sensitive telephone and face-to-face inquiries
- Ability to type 50 words per minute accurately
- Ability to operate office equipment such as copier, printer, fax, and computer
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical skills such as assessing vital signs
- Phlebotomy skills
- Completion of a Medical Terminology class
- Demonstrated experience with medical terminology
- Ability to consistently spell and use medical terminology correctly
- Proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel
