Job Summary
Safely operates a heavy-duty truck on swing routes while complying with OSHA/DOT and company requirements. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR, reports issues, and coordinates with Route Manager/Dispatch. Participates in training, supports route efficiencies, and follows route assignments. Documents tickets and ensures containers are placed properly without obstructing driveways or traffic. Handles customer requests and maintains a clean, safe work area, including unloading and site cleanup. Shift schedule includes evenings with a start window between 5:00 and 17:00 or 14:00 to midnight, Tuesday through Saturday; compensation starts at 30.65$ per hour with a 2.50$/hr evening premium, rising after 13 months to 33.10$/hr base plus 2.50$/hr premium, totaling 33.15$ to 35.60$/hr depending on time in role.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- CDL-Class B Commercial Drivers License B (CDL) Upon Hire
