Job Summary
Charge furnaces at shift start, fill glass tanks with pre-heated cullet, and manage annealer programs while ensuring elements and fuses function properly. Unload glassybaby, tape pieces with names, and organize molds, color boxes, and furniture in the hot shop. Perform general maintenance including sweeping, hosing, and squeegeeing the shop, straightening blow pipes, and emptying garbage cans. Manage gas lines, retrieve tubs from the shed, and handle odd jobs as needed. Work nights and weekends with ability to lift 55lbs frequently. HS Diploma required; mechanical training and previous hot shop experience preferred.
