Job Summary
Implement customer service commitments by allocating work, handling repair tasks, and managing customer calls. Monitor work quantity and quality within the branch while ensuring safety standards are maintained. Assist leadhands and technicians with managing machine overalls and large projects, acting as a key technical resource for shop technicians. Support new employee orientation and maintain product knowledge. This Monday-Friday (5x2) shift position in Whitehorse requires a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification and completion of Finning S-Level courses. Candidates must be computer literate with strong organizational and communication skills. Union membership applies, with dues deducted from pay.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Well-rounded experience as a Journeyman Technician
- Completion, or in the process of completing, Finning S-Level courses
- Computer literate
- Excellent organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Communication skills
- Outstanding product knowledge
- Leadership skills
- Willingness to contribute positively to a quality team environment
- Ability to be fit tested
- Ability to wear a respirator
