Job Summary
Charge Nurse leadership in the West Des Moines Emergency Department: lead daily operations, coordinate staffing/workflow, serve as on-shift clinical leader, oversee onboarding and development of staff, provide direct patient care, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, conduct audits and nursing quality indicators, facilitate huddles and care conferences, and partner with leadership on scheduling and HR matters; requires ADN (BSN preferred), 12+ months RN experience, Iowa RN license (additional state license within 12 months), BLS/ACLS, and mandatory reporter training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum 12 months of RN experience required; 24 months preferred.
- Current Iowa RN license required; secondary state license must be obtained within 12 months.
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
