Job Summary
Manage daily operational aspects of the Preop/PACU unit, including staffing, scheduling, and nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure safe, quality care while minimizing overtime. Serve as a unit expert and resource, providing supervision, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating staff to foster professional growth. Deliver expert-level patient assessments covering biophysical, emotional, and discharge needs, coordinating care across disciplines and acting as the primary point of contact for emergency responses and multi-disciplinary communication. Lead quality improvement initiatives, promote safety compliance, and manage patient, physician, and staff expectations through proactive communication. Act as a liaison for budget processes and regularly attend team meetings. Three years of PreOp/PACU experience required with a Colorado RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Hourly pay ranges from $43.43 to $69.28.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of PreOp/PACU nursing experience in similar work environment
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
- Previous experience supporting Windows servers
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher degree
- Moderate Sedation Certification
