Job Summary
Charge Nurse in the NICU responsible for supervising nursing personnel, assisting with staffing patterns and staff evaluations, coordinating unit resources, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include participating in interviews for posted positions, communicating with shifts, leading staff meetings, contributing to budget and quality assurance efforts, providing direction during emergencies, delivering education and in-service programs, and supporting ongoing professional development. Required Neonatal ICU experience, RN licensure in Oregon, NRP and BLS, and a nursing degree from an accredited program. Preferred BSN and extended NICU leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care experience with the last Five (5) years
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- High school diploma or GED
- License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire
- Basic Life Support
