Job Summary
Coordinate quality nursing care delivery for patients across birth through the lifecycle lifecycle, manage operational issues during shifts, and provide clinical care as census demands. Serve as a resource for staff guidance and assist with departmental issues and staff concerns. Communicate patient care and departmental concerns to appropriate leaders. Hold an RN license in Georgia or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure, BCLS, and ACLS/PALS certifications. Complete NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and PEARS certification by orientation or within 12 months. Maintain Bachelor's degree preferred with 2+ years hospital experience. Sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery)
- PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology)
- NRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery)
- PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital)
- ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification
