Job Summary
Coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and manage operational issues during the shift. Provide clinical care as census demands, communicate patient care and departmental concerns to appropriate leaders, and serve as a resource for guidance and assistance to staff. Maintain Georgia State Licensure, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and unit-specific certifications including PEARS and NRP. Requires a BSN and 1+ year of hospital nursing experience. Nights shift in MedSurg, Pulmonary GI, or related units at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery)
- PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology)
- NRP by the end of orientation period (Womens Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year
- PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital)
- ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 Days
