Job Summary
Charge RN - MedSurg and Orthopedic/Spine units for night shift (7 pm–7 am), three 12-hour shifts per week. Responsible for coordinating delivery of quality nursing care across the birth through lifecycle spectrum, providing clinical care as census demands, communicating patient care and staff concerns to leadership, and serving as a resource for staff guidance; requires RN licensure in Georgia, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN fetal monitoring, and PEARS certification with orientation period completion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
- PEARS Certification (at Piedmont Augusta Hospital)
- ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification
