Job Summary
Charge RN role coordinating delivery of nursing care for MedSurg/Oncology patients, providing clinical care, communicating patient care and staff concerns to leadership, and serving as a resource to staff; requires RN licensure in Georgia, multiple specialized certifications (ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP, BCLS, and others listed), and 1 year hospital nursing experience with preference for 2+ years; Bachelor's degree preferred; expects ongoing certification requirements and orientation-based timelines; typical duties include data collection, care planning, collaboration, ethical practice, and promoting a safe environment; location Piedmont Augusta Hospital with required in-person work.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- PEARS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Infusion/Oncology certifications: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification

- ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required
- TNCC Certifications

- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period within 180 Days Required
