Job Summary
Assist in supervising nursing personnel, interviewing applicants, and monitoring staff performance while providing direction during emergency situations. Actively participate in delivering patient care by assessing needs, implementing nursing care, and evaluating effectiveness, alongside coordinating multi-disciplinary conferences and discharge planning. Contribute to unit functioning by identifying systems problems, participating in trend analysis, and assisting with materials management. Serve as an educator by developing in-service programs and teaching patients and families. Support organizational goals, promote interdepartmental communication, and participate in research programs and committees as designated. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and demonstrate a positive attitude throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience
- one year in clinical specialty
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- High school diploma or GED
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- Basic Life Support
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing
- utilizing the nursing process
- effective problem solving

- Two (2) years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
- Experience with insulin drips
- Med/Surg Certification
- Demonstrated clinical judgment with a variety of chronic illness and diseases
Desired Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing
