Job Summary
Act as a resource nurse for the Labor and Delivery department, providing leadership to staff and coordinating patient care during designated shifts. Determine staffing fluctuations, respond to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues, and coordinate patient flow while performing direct patient care. Maintain oversight of employees while executing the same or directly related work as the staff you lead. This entry-level leadership role operates part-time (24 hours weekly) from 7am to 7pm. Requires a minimum of one year of RN experience, an ASN degree, and current Indiana or compact state RN license. Certifications include BLS, NRP, ACLS, S.T.A.B.L.E, and Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year RN experience
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Holding a minimum of an ASN
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- NRP certification (obtained within 6 months of hire)
- ACLS certification (obtained within 6 months of hire)
- S.T.A.B.L.E certification (obtained within 12 months of hire)
- Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN (National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties) (obtained within 12 months of hire)
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred
- Professional/Specialty certification as per unit/department standards
- Drug-free workplace status (post offer, pre-employment drug testing)
