Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients, develop and distribute patient care assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care to identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care through established channels and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Full-time nights shift (7pm–7am), 3–12 hours weekly; no weekends. Located at UAB St. Vincent's East.
