Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients undergoing gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting outcomes, and respond to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff. This 24-bed unit focuses on post-operative weight loss surgery patients. Full-time night shifts (7pm–7am) with no weekends.
