Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients undergoing gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting outcomes, and manage patient care complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating staff. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and one year of cumulative job-specific experience. Full-time night shifts (7pm-7am) with no weekends.
