Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients, develop care assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care to identify issues affecting outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating staff. This 24-bed unit focuses on patients recovering from gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy procedures. Required Qualifications
- Full Time Nights, No Weekends; 3 - 12 hour shifts per week, 7pm - 7am
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure/certification required
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required
