Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs, develop and distribute assignments for the 24-bed post-operative bariatric unit focusing on gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy patients, and evaluate care effectiveness to identify issues affecting outcomes. Respond to patient care complaints through established channels and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Currently licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing with BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Full-time nights schedule from 7pm to 7am, three to 12-hour shifts weekly.
