Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the 24-bed post-operative bariatric unit. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy patients, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting outcomes, and respond to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating staff. Requires full-time night shifts (7pm–7am) with no weekends; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 6 months; current Alabama RN licensure and one year of job-specific experience.
