Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients and develop appropriate care assignments. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Work full-time nights from 7pm to 7am, three to twelve-hour shifts per week.
Required Qualifications
- Full Time Nights, No Weekends; 3 - 12 hour shifts per week, 7pm - 7am
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure/certification required
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required
