Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff while contributing to performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients undergoing gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting outcomes, and respond to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Full-time nights shift (7pm–7am), no weekends; 3–12 hours weekly. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and one year of cumulative job-specific experience.
