Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs, develop and distribute patient care assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care to identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels, while providing input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. This role supports the 24-bed 6 West Post-Operative Bariatric unit, focusing on patients recovering from Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy. Full-time night shifts run from 7pm to 7am, with no weekends.
