Charge Registered Nurse RN - Post Surgical

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs for post-operative bariatric patients undergoing gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, developing and distributing assignments to ensure population-appropriate care. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, identify issues affecting desired outcomes, and respond to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Alabama Board of Nursing with at least one year of cumulative job-specific experience is required.
