Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing, assign and direct nursing staff, and monitor performance evaluations while ensuring quality patient care in the 22-bed 5 East Oncology unit. Assess daily patient needs, distribute care assignments, and evaluate care effectiveness to identify issues affecting outcomes. Respond to patient care complaints through established channels and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. This role involves full-time night shifts (7pm–7am) with 3–12 hour rotations. Required Qualifications
- Full-time Nights; 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7pm - 7am
- UAB St. Vincent's East
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS and PALS
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
