Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs, develop patient care assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care to identify issues affecting outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. The 22-bed 5 East Oncology unit also manages medical-surgical patients with conditions ranging from pneumonia to CHF and performs procedures like biopsies and cholecystectomies.
