Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is delivered. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. This 22-bed oncology unit also manages medical-surgical patients with conditions ranging from pneumonia to CHF, alongside common surgical procedures including biopsies and cholecystectomies.
