Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is given. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care through established channels. May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Full-time nights shifts (7pm–7am) on a 3–12 hour rotation at UAB St. Vincent's East Oncology unit.
