Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs, develop patient care assignments, and evaluate the effectiveness of care to identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to patient care complaints and manage them through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. This 22-bed oncology unit also manages medical-surgical patients with conditions including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, and diabetes, performing procedures such as biopsies and EGDs.
