Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is given to patients with cancer diagnoses or histories. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes, while responding to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Full-time nights shifts (7pm-7am) with 3-12 hour rotations at UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- ACLS and PALS certification
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
- 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7pm - 7am
- Full-time Nights schedule
- UAB St. Vincent's East location
