Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, including performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments for a 22-bed oncology unit that also manages medical-surgical cases. Evaluate patient care effectiveness and manage complaints through established channels. Contribute to hiring, training, and development of staff. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification, and one year of clinical experience. Full-time nights shifts from 7pm to 7am.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification for BLS
- ACLS and PALS certification (required in some units)
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
