Job Summary
Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is given. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care to identify issues affecting desired outcomes and respond to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Full-time nights shifts (7pm–7am) are required.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time Nights; 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7pm - 7am
- UAB St. Vincent's East
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS and PALS
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- professional licensure/certification
- 1 year of cumulative job specific experience
