Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care for cancer patients and medical-surgical cases including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, and diabetes. Evaluate care effectiveness, address patient care complaints through established channels, and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Requires current Alabama RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and one year of cumulative job-specific experience. Full-time nights shifts (7pm–7am) at UAB St. Vincent's East.
