Charge Registered Nurse RN - Oncology

Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care is delivered. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting outcomes, while responding to complaints through established channels. Provide input for hiring, training, directing, and development of staff. Full-time nights shifts (7pm-7am) with 3-12 hour rotations available at UAB St. Vincent's East, a 22-bed oncology unit serving patients with cancer and various medical-surgical conditions.
