CHARGE REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - MED/SURG (NIGHTS)

Assist in interviewing and selecting staff, provide leadership and direction in accordance with departmental goals, and supervise professional and/or technical unit staff and student nurses on shift. Determine staffing mix based on budgeted hours and patient acuity, assign duties based on unit needs, and oversee maintenance of supplies for emergency and routine nursing care. Collaborate with ancillary support services to ensure a safe environment, maintain budgetary limits, and promote continuity of care through verbal reports and charting. Administer nursing care to patients, participate in performance evaluations, and provide direction for teaching clinical students. Night shift schedule from 6p-6:30a; 72 hours per pay period at 0.9 FTE. Requires current Indiana RN licensure, BSN, one year of Med/Surg experience, and BLS/CPR certification. Bonus available for new external or internal candidates with a 24-month commitment.
