CHARGE REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - MED/SURG (DAYS)

Assist in interviewing and selecting staff, determine staffing mix based on budgeted hours and patient acuity, and assign duties based on unit needs. Supervise professional and/or technical unit staff and student nurses on shift while overseeing maintenance of supplies for emergency and routine nursing care. Collaborate with ancillary support services to ensure a safe environment, promote continuity of care through verbal reports and charting, and adhere to emergency procedures and disaster plans. Evaluate patient care through assessment and documentation, assume the role of patient advocate, and participate in teaching patients and clinical instructors. Maintain current licensure, BSN, and one year of Med/Surg experience; dayshift schedule 6a-6:30p with 72 hours/pay commitment.
