Job Summary
Lead the hemodialysis team by providing daily direction to direct patient care staff, approving schedule changes, and managing staffing and disciplinary actions. Assess patient needs, distribute care assignments, and administer medications while monitoring treatments for complications. Operate dialysis equipment, perform technical training, and ensure compliance with OSHA and facility policies. Collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans and educate patients on End Stage Renal Disease. Coordinate with the Clinical Manager for monthly staff meetings and quality assurance reviews. Requires RN licensure, dialysis experience, and ability to travel between facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience
- Additional 3 months of clinical experience in dialysis
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Must meet appropriate state requirements (if any)
- Must be able to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Must be available for travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community
- Must be available for travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings
