Job Summary
Lead the hemodialysis team by providing day-to-day direction to direct patient care staff, approving schedule changes, and managing staffing and disciplinary actions. Assess patient needs, distribute care assignments, administer medications, and monitor treatments while ensuring compliance with facility procedures and federal regulations. Operate dialysis equipment, participate in patient care plan meetings, and educate patients on End Stage Renal Disease and therapy. Coordinate with physicians, Clinical Managers, and external hospitals to adjust care plans and maintain safe shift operations. Requires current RN licensure, dialysis clinical experience, and successful completion of technical training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience
- Additional 3 months of clinical experience in dialysis
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Must meet appropriate state requirements (if any)
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
- May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials
