Job Summary
Coordinate and schedule direct patient care staff to provide coverage of Acute Dialysis treatments in contracted hospitals, ensuring efficient patient scheduling and staff utilization. Act as a subject matter expert for the Inpatient Center treatment floor, performing Acute treatments as needed while maintaining daily TAP tool reviews and ACES compliance monitoring. Lead Quality Assessment and Improvement Program audits, interpret patient care plans with physicians, and manage preventative maintenance for dialysis machines and infection control protocols. Serve as the liaison between facility administrative staff and the Program Manager, implementing cost containment strategies and assisting with assigned projects under limited supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in all states employed
- Minimum of 9 months nursing experience
- 3 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients in an Acute or Chronic setting
- Must be able to lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to move machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs.
- Must be able to bend over
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Must be able to travel between assigned facilities
- Must be able to travel to meetings
- Must be able to lift and move patients
- Must be able to assist with ambulation
- Must be able to coordinate infection control measures
