Job Summary
Lead daily dialysis operations by assessing patient needs, administering medications, and supervising direct patient care staff. Manage shift staffing, approve schedule changes, and conduct patient care plan meetings while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and OSHA standards. Train new staff, participate in quality assurance meetings, and operate emergency equipment during treatments. Coordinate with physicians and facility administrators to address patient complications and operational issues. Handle emergency situations and admit new patients according to facility procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
