Job Summary
Manage efficient patient flow and staff in the assigned ER area while serving as the departmental liaison to patients, providers, and unit managers. Collaborate with directors to revise unit policies and protocols, ensuring adherence to regulations for patient safety. Oversee nursing management and operational functions, including appropriate supply usage. Requires an Associate's or Diploma in Nursing with at least one year of Charge Nurse experience, a valid NM license, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. This night shift role at Lovelace Medical Center supports comprehensive acute care, including emergency services and robotic spine surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Diploma of Nursing
- One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
- Night shift availability
- Full time employment availability
- Emergency Room (ER) setting context
