Job Summary
Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned night shifts while assessing daily patient care needs and distributing assignments. Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes, evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, and manage complaints through established channels. Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff and provide input for hiring, training, and development. Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe manner while performing other duties as assigned. This role supports leadership and coordination of unit staffing at MO-SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital, ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care for the medical surgical unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year of registered nurse experience
